The project reached me at picture lock, with the composer’s score already completed. I was brought on to handle the sound design and final mix for both cinema and Prime release.
The film’s success depended heavily on the score and sound design working seamlessly together with the beautifully shot monochromatic visuals. With only a single line of dialogue in the entire film, the soundscape played a critical role in storytelling.
Focusing primarily on sound design allowed me to push creative boundaries, particularly in the dream-state and psychological torment sequences that reflect the protagonist’s mental state. Throughout the process, I maintained close communication with the directors and writers to ensure the sound was crafted precisely as intended.
The composer had delivered an excellent score, and my role was to build upon that foundation and further elevate this visually striking film through sound.
